This is the look most people ask us for right now, and we build a lot of it. It only stays sharp if two things are true: every unit sits on the same compacted base, and the turf strips between them are cut clean and anchored.
Practical note for Perris: the wider the turf joint, the more the pattern reads, but the more of it you are mowing around forever. Since our joints are artificial grass, that particular problem goes away.

Patterns, borders and banding for Perris yards
Running bond is the simplest and the cheapest to cut. Herringbone interlocks best and is the right call anywhere a vehicle drives. Large-format grid reads modern and is what most of our newer Perris jobs use.
A border course in a contrasting color frames the field and hides most of the cuts. A banding line across a long walkway breaks it up so it does not read like an airstrip. Neither costs much and both are the difference between a paver field and a designed one.

Questions before you call
Can you do pavers with turf between them?
Yes, it is one of our most requested looks. The key is that every paver sits on the same compacted base and the turf strips are cut clean and anchored.
Which pattern is strongest?
Herringbone. The interlock is why it is standard anywhere vehicles drive. For foot traffic, pattern is a look choice, not a strength one.
Do pavers get hot?
Light-colored pavers stay noticeably cooler than dark ones in a Perris July. Worth knowing if the area is barefoot territory like a pool surround.
Can a section be lifted later?
That is one of the main reasons to choose pavers. A section can be pulled, the problem underneath fixed, and the same units reset.
