What that means for your yard
A lot of Tuscany Hills and Canyon Hills yards are hillside lots, so the city reviews the grading. We plan the terraces around the wall limits, with drainage behind every wall.
Near the lake the city sets a minimum foundation height, so we check the address before planning slabs or walls. EVMWD's controller and nozzle rebates fit an irrigation rebuild.

Getting there from Perris
We take the 74 west out of Perris to the 15 and get off at Main Street, about 11 miles and 18 minutes to downtown Lake Elsinore. Tuscany Hills and Summerly are the same route, about 22 minutes. For Canyon Hills we come down Case Road, Murrieta Road and Holland Road to Canyon Hills Road, about 20 minutes.
Questions before you call
Can I have a lawn in my front yard in Lake Elsinore?
Not natural grass. Lake Elsinore's landscape code says a redone front yard gets no turf, which the code defines as living grass, and only moderate to very low water-use plants with mulch. Artificial grass, rock and drought-tolerant planting are what we use instead.
How tall can a retaining wall be in Lake Elsinore?
In Lake Elsinore one upslope retaining wall can be up to 6 feet and one downslope wall up to 3.5 feet, with 3 feet per side where the lot slopes with the street. Walls over 2.5 feet need a guard rail of at least 36 inches. Taller slopes get terraced.
Does EVMWD give a rebate for artificial grass?
No. Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District's turf replacement rebate goes through SoCal Water$mart and does not cover artificial turf. Its controller and rotating-nozzle rebates can apply when we rebuild the irrigation.
