A great experience from this family-owned business. Janeth provided me with a complete and understandable quote, and Bolivar and his crew completed the job with speed and professionalism. The entire job, not including a couple of rain days, took less than 4 days. They removed a medium-sized tree and a bit over 1,000 sq. ft. of grass in 3 different areas, prepared all 3 areas with base material, installed weed barriers and two large mow curbs around the remaining trees, and installed top-quality artificial turf in all 3 areas. They cleaned up and hauled everything away, leaving my yard looking like a million dollars.
We pour concrete curbing at homes in Perris, CA: mow strips between the lawn and the planter beds, curbs around trees and planters, and the hard edge that artificial turf needs to end against. Call or text (951) 556-0315 for a free quote. Same crew as the rest of our concrete work.
Work we have done in Perris

What curbing does in a Perris yard
- It holds the line. Rock, bark and soil stay on their side; the turf or lawn stays on its own. Without a curb the bed creeps into the grass within a season.
- It gives turf an edge to end against. Artificial grass is cut and nailed to a hard edge. A poured curb is the cleanest one there is, and it is why we pour the curb before we lay the turf.
- It makes the yard read as finished. The same beds with and without a curb look like two different budgets.
The curbing we pour most
Mow strips. A flat poured strip between lawn and bed, wide enough for a mower wheel on a natural lawn. On turf yards it is the border the turf is trimmed to.
Planter and tree curbs. A raised curb around a bed or around trees the homeowner keeps. On one Perris job we poured two large ones around existing trees so the turf could go right up to them.
Driveway and walkway edges. A curb along a driveway or walkway that keeps gravel and decomposed granite from washing onto the concrete.
In the newer tracts, Villages of Avalon and Monument Ranch, curbing is usually part of a front-yard turf conversion. On the larger lots toward Mead Valley and Good Hope it is more often long planter runs along a driveway.

How we pour curbing
- Layout. The curb line is marked on the ground so you see the shape before there is concrete in it.
- Trench and base. Cut to depth and compact a base, so the curb does not heave when Perris soil moves.
- Forms. Set for the height and the radius you picked. Curves are formed, not guessed.
- Pour and finish. Troweled smooth or broomed, with the top edge rounded so it does not chip.
- Turf or planting. Once it cures, the turf is cut to the curb and the beds are filled.
